Women, ditch your ego at the door. Seems like male drivers in fact are more proficient than female drivers at getting their automobiles into a spot, if one is to trust a new-fangled investigation out of Europe.
A number of kinds of parking were integrated in this somewhat curious exercise that had people aiming to park their given cars in the best possible manner within the allocated parking space.
Female drivers not only didn't do as good a job and furthermore took an average of fifteen secs more to park the given vehicles.

I should now sell my 1999 Suzuki Jimny (pegged at around $5K) as our family now requires a bigger car (2 adults, 2 children and twins expected soon).
I must express that I have been contented with the vehicle, I'm not a speed demon and the car manages to touch 110 kph but I don't mind that; I am, really, just selling as its size is too small for our current lifestyle.
I'm open to cars which take these points into deliberation:
a) more spacious
b) related minimal emission
c) satisfactory on short trips (since that's what we essentially do)
d) satisfactory on mileage

I would really be looking ahead to buying my different vehicle, however it should not be too overpriced, still be a car that I can trust, and also one which is simple to maintain.
Fundamentally, if the vehicle that I mention has treated you well although you specifically need to replace it for something which is SLIGHTLY bigger, then which one would you choose? I am fond of the look of the Nissan Xterra. Although I feel it will be tough to locate one in that budget. SUVs can be handy for our home since we have our home in the Blue Mountains and we do have several off road trails exist, however it's not essential for it to be an all wheel drive.
While I await I imagine I'll just continue driving a hire automobile
Every one of your recommendations would be very appreciated.

My old man just returned his Ford Explorer and is on the lookout to charter another car. He previously expressed that this drive was a little taxing on his back and that it had way too much engine capacity for Florida… So he's on the lookout for a 4 cylinder or a diminutive 6, and it must be Offroader given that he does mountain biking, etc… and this is the only big car in the household, I used his vehicle some times to transport stuff around given that I drive a Toyota Prius and my spouse a Scion Xa.

Anyway, the cost; it's without doubt less than US $28k including taxes & fees.
He liked the Mazda CX7, but it does not have sufficient bite, the Turbo edition has excellent engine capacity and drives great, but for that much he opines he can do better.
He chanced upon a terrific bargain at turbocharged 4-cylinder engine 200-hp 2.0-liter Volkswagen Passat … but he is concerned with reliability given that our Audi A6 and VW Cabrio were regulalrly facing problems. I suggested that with a 24-month lease he shouldn't have any problems (as opposed to driving the Audi just as he did for about 5 years).
Next there is the latest Kia Sorento, a pretty darn enjoyable car, one could smell quality all over when you sit down inside… Dad even said that he might have purchased the SUV already if not for the extremely irritating salesman… I think after taxes it gets to $30k or so, however he seems to be fond of the car a lot.
I don't think he likes the Honda CR-V, I'll ask him if he wants to examine it out, its cost feels about right.
If you are aware of any nice choices that he could look into while not having to squander a ridiculous sum of money, your suggestions would be most welcome.
